Advance Your Input
Tap is a revolutionary new device that uses touch to type.
Easy to learn, effortless to wear, it aims to change the way we input.
Wearable Keyboard, Mouse & Controller
Tapping Is Fast
Tapping is a completely new way to input. By tapping your fingers on any surface, you can input hundreds of commands, macros, and controls quickly. You can type as quickly as you can lift your fingers off a surface, and you’ll never lose what keys you’re on.
+ Tap can register up to 10 actions per second
+ Input at up to 120 WPM (with one hand only!)
+ Remap your device to inputs that are comfortable and convenient for you
Worried about the learning curve? We recently ran a contest to see how fast people can get. Tappers reached over 60 words per minute in just 3 weeks of play.
Tapping is Accurate
Inputting with Tap is more accurate than soft keyboards, gestures or even voice – it’s also completely private, and we would never monitor your data. By using touch-based inputs, you never have to worry about costly missclicks or typos.
+ Precision algorithms decode the slightest movements coming from state of the art sensors
+ Reinforced muscle memory enables you to tap exactly the letter you wanted (with greater than 99.5% accuracy)
+ No need to look for keys
Learning To Tap Is Easy!
It takes just 90 minutes to learn the English Tap Alphabet – it takes less time to watch 2 episodes of Game Of Thrones. We worked with Stanford memory scientists to create a learning application that uses muscle memory and repetition to make learning Tap easy and fun. Tap registers up to 10 inputs a second, so you can type at up to 120 WPM with it.
+ Gamified learning experience to maximize memory retention
+ Tap’s learning games have multiple modes so you’ll never get bored
+ Connect to your phone, tablet, laptop, computer or other Bluetooth enabled device to practice anywhere.
Tap Works On Any Surface!
Tap doesn’t limit you to sitting behind a computer screen or carrying a bulky external keyboard. By touching any surface, Tap connects you to the world around you for a truly unique experience.
+ Type on a variety of different surfaces (tables, floor, body parts, cushions, or even vertical walls)
+ Type in a comfortable position for your body to reduce RSI and other injuries.
+ Tap is the ultimate solution to input while confined to small, uncomfortable spaces (airplane seat, on a bus, in a crowd…)
Tap is Accessible
Tap enables visually impaired and disabled people to input quickly and accurately, with full privacy and control. As long as you can tap on a surface, you can use the device. We also have a blind and low vision accessible application to help you learn the alphabet.
+ Activate most of Apple’s VoiceOver commands with Tap
+ A complete input method that only requires the use of one hand
+ Discrete texting in crowded areas (when traveling, at a lecture, while shopping…)

Tap promises a future where a device doesn’t command our attention, it enables it.
[Tap] offers users who are blind or visually impaired with a way to communicate on mobile devices with the speed and convenience of sighted users.
I was impressed with how fast I was able to pick it up and how well I remembered the tap gestures from day to day.
Jony Ive, Apple’s design guru, might be proud.
[Tap] really works. [We were] able to learn the alphabet and start slowly typing in about 2 hours with most people apparently reaching 30-40 words per minute in about 5.
